Building Mây Mơ Silk meant days of traveling through Vietnam’s old silk villages. I saw lustrous thread, and I also saw the worry of industrial dyeing that harms rivers and soil. I understood that Mây Mơ could not only be beautiful. It had to be beautiful, kindly.
That work was not easy. With local artisans I spent months on one question: how do you take the green of leaves, the pink of wild flowers, or the deep brown of bark onto silk and still keep it strong? Some batches were discarded. Some colors missed. But each time I held a scrunchie or pillowcase in the original color of plants, I knew Mây Mơ was on the right path.
At Mây Mơ Silk, every 100% organic product is more than an accessory. It is patience, and gratitude toward nature. When you choose a naturally dyed silk sleep mask, you are giving yourself a better night and, with Mây Mơ, keeping a little less chemical out of the environment.
